Spring Newborn Photography
Happy Spring Everyone! I’m back with a spring newborn photography session to get you in the spirit of things. Although it’s still looking a bit winterish outside, here in the studio we are in full on Spring mode! It is no secret that I love color. Like, love. Like, love, love, love, color! Big, bold, bright, beautiful colors. The thing is, I rarely meet new parents who also love color. Until I met Lily Rae’s Mom and Dad. I pulled out the yellow and they were like- yep! The call her their Lily Rae of Sunshine- so how very perfect is that?
Lily’s session was so much fun. First of all she slept through it like a little champ. She is clearly her parents whole heart, and it was wonderful to sit with them and get to know all about their lives as new parents. We used lots of bright colors and wools and even incorporated her Dad’s badge and police hat into the session. Did you know that if you flip over a police officer’s hat there is a picture holder in it? Lily’s dad had her sonogram photos tucked away in there, a fact that literally made my eyes swell with tears.
Lily’s Mama brought the dream catchers you see here from Lily’s nursery. We incorporate those on a long piece of drift wood that I have here in studio. When it came time to pose Lily on her Dad’s police cap we actually had to drape the black fabric around Dad and have him hold Lily Rae so she wouldn’t stir. It was kind of awesome. The very best part of my job is seeing all this love passing through from parents to their children.
This session was magical in so many ways, but what made it truly special were all the added touches that were uniquely Lily.
I can’t wait to see this little girl as she grows up, surrounded by love and light, and happiness. I adored this family!
