Weekend Review

It’s my intention to create a video of our family enjoying our weekend. But every time I think about recording our goings-ons I get distracted and fall into the comfort and coziness of Saturday and Sunday.

Our home is full of  Ohio Football and little neighbor boys.

(not that I’m bias but Ohio State would be a FOOL not to sign this kid right now with a full on football scholarship- I mean look at the boy, he has the  Heisman stance down!)

Our home is also filled with calming noise of change- saws and hammers- and did I mention we’re re-finishing our kitchen? We are! And we’re pretty amazing- even if I do say so myself.

If I can give one piece of marriage advice might I suggest a handy husband? My husband has three master’s degrees- not one of them in construction or architecture, however I’m convinced he can do anything.  It’s important to respect the person you marry, but it’s a beautiful bonus if you admire him too. His attention to detail is baffling to my lets-just-do-it mind, but we’re a good team. We’re in this together.

Do you see this spaceship??? My friend Jesse’s Dad ( pictured above) MADE THIS!!!!!!!!!! He made it for her daughter- it’s the purest expression of love. We really enjoyed it and spent a weird amount to time trying to figure out just how we could move this over to our home…

And yes, Sunny always dresses like a princess- she literally walks around the world with a wand and little clear heels.  This might be the first princess spaceship in the history of the world.

See- I’m not kidding. Every. Single. Day.

Also, a deep dark secret in this house is that Saint lives in the corner of our kitchen. We can’t move him over to the family kitchen table because he throws all of his food. My walls are literally caked with oatmeal, spaghetti, cheese. I have to scrub that corner down every day. It’s sad sort of, but we often joke that one day we’ll go into a restaurant and he’ll sit at a different table.  If you could see how he tries to join in our dinner conversation it makes it all the more pathetic. He’ll laugh and babble and we’ll all look longingly at him- but the he throws food and the moment is over. We have high hops for this little guy- the family table soon buddy!

Here’s hoping your weekend was just as awesome as ours. Just 4 more days till Saturday!
