Wait, is it almost December? Oh God. I can feel my nails digging into November and holding on for sweet mercy.
We had a beautiful Thanksgiving. Since we stayed in New York we pushed and shoved our way to the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. I don’t have an official bucket list, but this was on it. All my years in New York and I somehow have never made it to the giant ballon parade- but this year was different. But first a picture of my “twins.”
How annoying! Do other peoples kids look like them? Yes. Oh okay- just checking!
Our Sunshine Girl has never been more happy or impressed. She was all smiles and wonder. Her face lit up when she saw Mickey Mouse, heard the bands drumming, and saw the sea of people clapping.
If you’ve never been, please do go. It’s a special treat, a special season, a magical parade for adults and babes alike.
After the parade we headed to McDonalds for breakfast- as it turns out that might have been the highlight of the morning- nothing says Thanksgiving like McDonalds!
Did I tell ya’ll that I hosted Thanksgiving dinner at our place ? Well I did and it was lovely. Friends came in town, a birthday boy was celebrated, and neighbors joined our little feast too.
(That’s my kids table below)
It was intimate and sweet- just like a holiday should be.
AND the best part was- I FINALLY got a decent picture of Sunny for this years Christmas card! Phew!
Okay maybe not that one….
Or that one. Never mind. We’re still on the hunt. Hope you all had an amazing holiday! Back to work…I just heard Sunny tell her babysitter to “be a good girl!”
