Hello Friends,
What an amazing Spring Break we had in Hilton Head visiting my parents. It was a paradise of love and hugs and snuggles and sunshine- and while even typing that sounds so silly, I assure you that’s the whole truth.
I have over 400 photos and sorting through them to share with all of you is a bit of an ordeal- however if I don’t start my posting soon my parents will surely call me and ask why on Earth their photos aren’t on this beloved blog. So I’m breaking these down into parts. Welcome to Spring Break Part 1.
We drove 20 hours in one direction. It was sort of hell.
BUT like a mirage of wonderfulness, while we were stuck in four hours of traffic, we made a b-line to the cutest Children’s Museum in Richmond, VA. How I wish these were franchises. Sweet baby Jesus if this came to NJ parents everywhere would rejoice.
If you’re wondering when the baby turned into a big boy, he got a hair cut right before we left. It’s okay to weep. I’m so with you.
This sweet little girl was a rockstar the whole trip. I love that little face.
This was going to be an awesome photo…#fail
How cute is this mini virginian house? I kind of wanted to move in…
Next door and around the corner was the greatest hole-in-the-wall BBQ in the entire world. It was legit, with flies and smokers out back. Worth every bit of the 4 hours of traffic we got stuck in.
There was also a minor league ball park that we were fully prepared to go to if the traffic hadn’t cleared up, but it did and so we pressed on. And then we made it to Hilton Head! Where my Sunshine Girl promptly got into her swimsuit- gifted to her by her Nana. Matt sent me this pic while I was at Target with my Mom and I was laughing so hard I literally laughed out loud- it was like a cackle. Still cracks me up.
More pics and fun to follow in Part 2.
