Did you guys say that when you were in High School too? No. No one recalls screaming “I’m outtie 500” to just about every friend you had at the time? Trust me you did, I just walked you down memory lane and….you’re welcome.
Anyway I was Outtie 500 last night. Matt came home early so I could run a few errands before Sunny’s first birthday party on Sunday. I can’t tell you the freedom of getting in my car and speeding up the block with no baby in the back. There was wind to my back, money in my purse, and stale cheerios in my pocket. I was reckless I listened to NPR LOUD in my car, I parked at a meter and then I opened the trunk to get out Sunny’s stroller….
Yes you read that right. I am addicted to my daughter, she’s first in my thoughts even when she’s not directly in front of me. It feels a little like I left my right arm at home whenever I go out without that kid.
The rest of my 2 hours off are a blur of the nail salon, catering place, and Staples. When I returned home Sunny was eating dinner with her Da-Da. Who turned to me and said “When I have her all on my own, and you aren’t here, its illuminating….she follows me everywhere.” He’s always very careful to sound excited to spend time with Sunshine, even when his face tells a different story.
I should be Outtie 500 more often.
