I don’t want to forget this special time when its been just us.
You’re so very happy with the simple things.
On this day we took a trip to the book store. It’s your favorite place to go lately. There’s a train table and (if your good) a snack for all of us.
I’ve often questioned if my being home with you and your sister, has been more for your benefit, or mine?
I don’t really have an answer, except to tell you that time moves quickly and doing what you love, with whom you love seems like the best way to spend any time.
You’re growing up so quickly that it’s easy to forget that you and I have had 2.5 years of togetherness. Two days a week we wander out into this great big world, but rarely do we travel far from home.
Lately I’ve been holding you closer than ever before. Soon enough you’ll be starting school, and this time of just you and I, will be a distant memory.
That’s how it is Jude, so we have to both be really brave. It was hard to let your sister go, but I had you to soften the blow. It will be hard to see you go, but I’ll have the baby to keep me busy, and you, you will have an adventure far bigger than any one I could ever take you on.
I know there’s a lot of changes happening Jude, but I also know that you’ll keep us all together.
The world will see you as a middle child, but in my heart, you’ll always be our center. We’d never find our balance without our center.
So these pictures are for you, the center of my whole world.
Whatever comes next, just know I’m with you.
