This morning at the park a little girl named Maggie was standing at the top of the slide. She was afraid to go down the big slide, she feared going to fast and of course falling off. The other children waited patiently for Maggie to take her turn, but it didn’t look like she would budge. Suddenly she started chanting “Come on Maggie! Come on Maggie! YOU. CAN. DO. IT!!! Come on Maggie! Come on Maggie! YOU. CAN. DO IT!” She let go, mastered the slide, and walked away unharmed. Sometimes we have to be our own cheerleader, know all of the risk and let go anyway. This one is for my dear friend who will have to be her own cheerleader for the next several weeks. Come on friend! Come on friend! YOU. CAN. DO. IT!!!
