Hilton Head Family Vacation Part 3
We have finally arrived at Part 3 of our Hilton Head Family Vacation. As a family photographer, this last section was dedicated to family photos between my parents and my kids. Since we don’t get to visit them as often as we’d like, we have these family photos as a reminder of our time together. Over the years the kids have grown up so much- so I’m often having to remind myself that while they look “SO BIG” in these images, they’ll look like babies by next years photos. That’s just how it goes I guess.
Matt and I headed to Charleston for the day. As lovely as it was to have the day alone, I kept thinking of the beauty surrounding us and how perfect family photos would have been in those flower boxed streets. Can you imagine the color and spaces and candid shots? We did our best with just the two of us there! I highly recommend heading out of town with your spouse and exploring a city you know next to nothing about. Charleston is a mini Paris, and gosh do I love Paris! We ate everything. Literally we ate this fancy lunch at 82 Queen then went out for biscuits at Hot Little Biscuit. Who does that? We eventually headed out of town and stopped by Angel Oak, to visit a 400 year old oak tree that is massive!
Our vacation ended on Easter with bloody mary’s, a low country boil, a carnival, and ham lunch. Apparently it’s all about food and family photos for me 🙂 Enjoy these photos and I hope you’ll take your own as your family travels this summer. What are some of your favorite family vacation destinations?
