It was a very very busy weekend for my Sunshine girl and we have so much to tell y'all about.
On Saturday we ventured to Pennsylvania with Mother Dear and The Goose. After 2.5 hours of The Goose asking why this and why that, and Sunny shouting at the top of her lungs, we arrived at Sesame Place. If you haven't been there, you should go. It's normally a water park for the kiddos, but in the winter months they turn it into a halloween themed park complete with games, corn mazes, and halloween inspired shows.
Sunny and The Goose rode the Sesame Street merry-go-round.
Possibly the highlight of the trip, we saw the Halloween Not Too Spooky Spooktacular Show! Featuring all of the Sesame Street characters singing and dancing and rocking out! Sunny and The Goose loved it. But it was Mother Dear and I who ended up laughing so hard we cried when Elmo and company danced to Thriller!
Oh yes, that is Elmo in a leather "beat it" jacket. I promise you the little human who was underneath the Elmo costume was a former stripper from Sue's Rendezvous in the Bronx. This little girl was shaking her tail up and down Sesame Street.
Last night Chris and JC came over for dinner and then we all attended the Park Slope Halloween Parade. Its absolutely amazing. There are African drummers, and floats, and cheers and candy. My Sunny was in heaven on her Da-Da's shoulder clapping with the beat.
Halloween had lost its meaning before Sunny showed up. We were all like kids again.
