Yesterday a friend stopped by with her two kids and we had a long talk.
It was one of those talks that leaves you feeling as if you just unloaded all of your stuff and left it in the middle of the picnic blanket in the middle of your toy soaked backyard, in the middle of the world.
I told her how I wanted my creativity to expand. How I love what I do and need to let it bloom further into other arts and mediums and parts. She told me what she thought of that idea and what she thinks of me- and when I looked at her puzzled, she simply said “what are you afraid of?”
Everything, I said. Everything.
And then…I wasn’t afraid any more.
