This weekend we went shoe shopping for Sunny. Chris and JC’s wedding is right around the corner and Sunshine will be their flower girl, so we’ve got to get her up on her feet and walking. It was suggested by another mother that we invest in some sturdy flat bottom shoes to get Sunny to balance better and therefore walk sooner. For the record I don’t really care when Sunny walks, but I also don’t want her crawling through the sandy Mexico beach pulling up on guest chairs and ruining her custom made flower girl dress.
She was so proud of herself. It didn’t hurt that her Father and I were following her around with cameras. We took her out to lunch where she dined on french fries, eggs, and cheeseburger.
But we didn’t get the black shoes…they seems to boring to me ( although looking at these pictures I kind of love them again). We went with these….
I’m a fan, a BIG fan of these little shoes. Although I hate that they lace up, just more work for me. Although the sales woman kept saying “it’s just a few minutes of a difference between the laces and the velcro.” She clearly doesn’t have a kid.
She’s not walking yet, but for what I paid for those cute little shoes she BETTER start walking or I’m taking those puppies back!
And while I’ve been writing this post, Sunny’s been writing one of her own.
Happy Monday everyone!
