Every so often I come out of my winter funk long enough to appreciate the beauty of winter.
Peaceful sheets of snow fill our backyard & streets ( I’m over intentionally over looking the fact that ice is falling from the heavens pounding against my windows and waking my sleeping baby up). I sit in my office sipping coffee, entertaining Sunshine, and listening to my new favorite artist Sanders Bohlke.
And then there is this….
7:25am: “He surveyed his surroundings carefully and found that there was no shadow around…so an early spring it will be! Prepare yourself for warmth!” The crowd entertains both jeers and cheers, and then the festive music from the movie Groundhog Day takes over the intercom and day long festivities will continue in Town Square.
For the rest of us not at Gobbler’s Knob … whew! We need some springtime weather!
SPRING IS COMING!!!!!!!! Thank you Jesus!!!!!!
We’re restoring our Ebb and Flow around here. We’re looking on the bright side- preparing for the best- getting excited for spring. Maybe were nuts- oh God was that ANOTHER HALE STORM??? But we’re hopeful that spring will come.
It is a useless habit, wishing away days. So today, we took a walk, breathed in fresh air, and starred out the window thankful for today.
