The quote on our chalkboard wall currently reads:
Some people walk in the rain, others just get wet. I wrote it because I have a problem accepting things I can not control and then making those things everyone’s problem. For instance during yesterday’s snow storm I sent around 50 text complaining about the snow. Friends called to see how I was doing, because in part, I complain so much & so often that when the sun doesn’t shine they worry about me. This is not what I wish to be known for, nor is it my favorite characteristic in myself or anyone else. I would much prefer to be positive and upbeat and “walk in the rain.”
I am however, human- and trying my best to not just walk in the rain but dance in it.
