Essex County Newborn Photography Studio
Owning a NJ newborn photography studio, centrally located has it’s perks! A few weeks ago a family of five visited me in studio to celebrate the birth of their newest addition, Lucia. Studio sessions are wonderful because though I preplan every session, I am able to incorporate other props or wraps that are around the studio. Very often the plan changes depending on what catches Mom and Dad’s eye, giving a little more variety to the traditional studio shoot. In this instance I was able to layer several wraps, to create various shades of white. Once we completed Lucia’s back and side poses on the cream backgrounds, we opted for some soft pinks with Lucia on her belly. I find that adding in subtle textures can give the images more dimension.
Lucia’s parents provided Lucia’s beautiful knit outfit and headband too. Lucia is the first girl for this family and I was really happy to photograph her with her proud big brothers. The boys were so sweet with their baby sister and protective too. The boys were awesome and checked up on their baby sister often. Lucia is super lucky to be the baby of this sweet family. I watched her Mom speak so softly and lovingly to each of her children. It is a beautiful thing to witness a mother, mothering. I was struck at just how special that bond is, even when Mom is nursing a newborn, holding a 2 year olds hand, and speaking gently to a 4 year old. It’s not easy, but it’s so beautiful to witness.
