The Sweetest Cake Smash Session
I photographed this little cutie when she as born. She was 6 lbs of deliciousness. I’m so very fortunate to grow up with my clients. As their families expand, and grow I’m there to capture all of their best moments. In this sweet cake smash session we celebrated Eliana and her whole extended family. This session was done at the families home in Hoboken, NJ. We were able to step outside for large family photos! This gave the kids a chance to run around and get their sillies out. I’m struck by how fun these photos are! Clapping and dancing and jumping and running!
These are the types of candid images I am always hoping for. Light and airy, the family was able to let loose and celebrate Eliana’s first year of life. Sometimes if I’ve worked with a family often enough, the kids don’t seem to notice I’m there to photograph them. It makes the entire exchange much easier and more relaxed. We’re playing games, running through the grass, and enjoying our time together. The scale Eliana is seatd on is one from my vintage collection. Her backdrop is a mocha paper backdrop and the cake and clothes are her own.
